On December 9, 2022, the Circular of the General Office of the State Council on the Arrangement of Public Holidays in 2023 was released, announcing the official China public holiday schedule for 2023. As per tradition, the holiday schedule includes two major week-long holidays known as ‘Golden Week’: Spring Festival (also referred to as Chinese New Year) and the National Day holiday. In 2023, the Spring Festival will take place between January 21 and January 27, while the National Day holiday will be observed between September 29 and October 6, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival.
